Hiring Challenge: It was challenging to shift culture after 20+ years of military service and translate knowledge, skills, and ability to civilian speak in order to transition successfully from military into civilian employment. I needed assistance with writing resumes, networking, job sources, interviews, and transitioning to civilian culture.
Assistance Received: CASY provided proactive service. I was immediately contacted by dedicated staff, received one on one counseling, was able to register for online interactive classes, and made aware of a wide array of resources.
Result of Assistance: Professional support from employment specialist, Erin Saunders, enabled me to understand many new resources and take very informative classes to improve my resume and succeed in job interview. I was offered number of jobs and able to choose the best one.
