New Year, New Outlook!

CASY & MSCCN’s Integrated Candidate Process

Have you heard the good news? Recent reports indicate that Veteran Unemployment is at its lowest in seven years! If you are like us at CASY & MSCCN, you are excited that Veteran Unemployment is improving, but you also know that there’s still work to be done. Military spouses are still woefully under and unemployed, and Veterans of all wars, transitioning military members, and Guard and Reserve members are seeking employment services in great numbers.

In the past several months, CASY & MSCCN have seen an increase in the number of candidates accessing our services. To better serve our job candidates, CASY & MSCCN have rolled out a new and improved candidate process that further integrates our training and Recruiter ConnectTM departments into the candidate process.

Previously, candidates have worked closely with their Employment Specialists and attended trainings when possible. With the increase in candidates we are serving, this model unduly overburdens Employment Specialists and reduces customer service satisfaction. We listened to our customers’ requests and suggestions and tested new procedures to find the ultimate mix of service and results.

After testing, we've found candidates who participated in the training programs were better engaged and felt better prepared for the job search process. They were also more successful in the Recruiter ConnectTM process. Our new model makes more efficient use of all the resources CASY & MSCCN can offer candidates, thus improving candidates’ chances at finding employment.
