HOT JOBS

If you find yourself in Charleston, South Carolina, chances are you’ll see a member of The Citadel’s undergraduate cadet corps around town. They are easy to recognize: they’re the ones wearing The Citadel’s distinctive uniform, a requirement as long as they’re within a ten mile radius of campus. In Charleston and around the country, The Citadel is known for its high standards and its adherence to a classical military system, which privileges leadership and character development along with academic excellence.

While The Citadel is known for its competitive, co-educational undergraduate and graduate programs on campus in Charleston, the college is also working hard to grow its online degree offerings. These degree programs, which are entirely online, provide the same academic rigor, high standards, and expert faculty that students would receive on campus, with the added benefit of being more convenient, flexible, and feasible for working adult students and those currently serving in the U.S. military. In an effort to increase awareness of their academic degree programs and online offerings, The Citadel is once again proving its dedication to the U.S. military by partnering with CASY & MSCCN to create employment opportunities for military spouses.

In January 2017, The Citadel filled its second round of independent contractor positions by partnering with CASY & MSCCN. These positions are six month independent contractor agreements with The Citadel, which allow participants to work from home, supporting 15 different locations across the country, while functioning as a part of a larger team. To fulfill their contract, military spouses work five to ten hours per month to market and promote The Citadel’s online degree programs in their local areas. Each contractor works with education officers on base, attends career fairs, and uses social media to promote The Citadel’s online degree programs.

Although these roles are remote and do allow military spouses to work from home,
