empowering more Veterans and their families. As you begin thinking about your professional goals for 2017 (and I recommend that you do!), remember:

-To move forward with passion and purpose, you must look back at what drove your enthusiasm… and what drove you crazy. What

are the components of your dream job? How can you take small steps toward making that dream a reality?

-What were your metrics for the past year? Look back at your finances, your outcomes, and your accomplishments. Where did you do well, where did you miss the mark, and what are the responsibilities that you need to factor in to your goals?

-Don’t let the mistakes of 2016 overshadow the promise of 2017. Make 2017 the year that you remember your life is too important to be ruined by a single mistake—solve those mistakes and move forward.

-Examine your priorities. What kind of person do you want to be, what kind of work do you want to do, at the end of the day, how do you want to feel? You deserve a life that allows you to work smart, to play hard, and to surround yourself with people who make you better.

For 2017 I wish you energy, empowerment, equality, and an enthusiastic pursuit of your DESTINY … Let 2017 be the year that you move forward and fully embrace the present, instead of saving your dreams for a distant “tomorrow.”
