Hiring Challenge: My biggest challenge was aligning my resume with the requirements for the position and having a professional email address.
Assistance Received: I received help with: Networking with other spouses who were in the same field, Writing a Curriculum Vitae (CV) instead of a resume, and Aligning my CV with the position I was applying for.

Result of Assistance: I was looking for one part-time job, but with my employment specialist’s assistance, I was offered and accepted two positions.
Value of Experience: This experience has been extremely helpful because now I have a career that will follow me when my family needs to PCS again. I have been on numerous interviews and worried about how my career would prosper every time we moved. Because both of these schools are online, they will follow me! This is a huge stress reliever for me as a military spouse. Many people get the misconception that military wives don’t work and that we don’t want to, but that is not true. I have been married to my soldier for 15 years and have successfully maintained employment in my field of study. I just want to continue to feel valued in my profession.
