CASY & MSCCN Conduct Training in Nevada

By: Danielle Trosclair, NGEN Program Manager

Recently, the CASY & MSCCN National Guard Employment Network conducted on-site training with members of the Nevada National Guard Military Family Support Services office, including Family Programs and NVNG Work for Warriors branches. Representatives from the Nevada Department of Training, Education, and Rehabilitation as well as National Guard Bureau attended to gain program knowledge and best practices.

This first of its kind, one-day event took place on February 22, 2016, in Carson City, NV at the NVNG OTAG building. Danielle Trosclair, NGEN Program Manager conducted the training, during which attendees learned about the various services CASY & MSCCN offer, including employment readiness training for their military-affiliated clients as well as professional development training for staff members. Additionally, attendees received hands on instruction with the IBM/Kenexa BrassRing Portal, the technology behind the NGEN program.

At the conclusion of the training, attendees left empowered, armed with the tools CASY & MSCCN provides those working with National Guard military members, spouses, and caregivers to the wounded.
