Mistress of Ceremony
Merle Odessa Wright is enjoying her opportunity to MC this
awesome pageant. Merle is known for her experience behind the scene
and her win as Ms. Senior Jacksonville 2010. She was the producer of
Masala, Inc., a gospel hip-hop group in early 2000. Although “sea-
soned”, Merle continues to put everything into whatever her role. She is
energetic and is willing to take on new challenges.
Merle is employed with Clara White Mission where she is the
Executive Administrative Assistant to the CEO/President and assists
with Marketing. She has been involved with the Mission for over 20
years and appreciates being a part of making a difference in the commu-
nity and in the lives of those less fortunate. She is member of Ephesians
Missionary Baptist Church where she is the Financial Secretary.
Merle has been married for 47 years to Melvin, has three wonder-
ful, talented, intelligent and humble children. They got it from their
Daddy. She also has four grandchildren who are also wonderful, talent-
ed, intelligent and humble. Merle loves the Lord and thanks Him for all
He has given her.
