FACULTY INSIGHT
Cari Guittard
American
Gender Intelligence,
Crisis Management,
Geopolitical Risk &
Corporate Diplomacy,
and International
Negotiations Professor
How would you describe your teaching style?
My style is very non-traditional. I’m committed
to bringing the real world into the classroom
through practical exercises and insights. There
are leadership and strategic influence elements
in every session. That, and chocolate. I am
married to a chocolate maker, so always have
some with me. It’s a powerful engagement tool.
Is Hult different from other schools
you’ve taught at?
Hult is entrepreneurial, practical, global. We
attract and nurture students who I truly believe
will make a positive impact in the world, whether
they start their own businesses or join existing
MNCs. I haven’t found another school like it.
Why do you think it’s important for business
students to receive a global education?
I’ve worked in 80+ countries and it’s completely
shaped the person and professional I am today.
A global education and building social capital are
imperative to be competitive and relevant in the
marketplace. People come together at Hult and
are engaged, informed, and empowered to
change the world.
