Patience Is A Virtue I noticed that when food takes a long time to come to people’s table in a restaurant people start complaining about the wait. They say they pay good money for service they are not getting. This is a trend I have seen my entire life and to be honest I disagree because food that comes fast scares me. The thought that immediately comes to mind is “what the hell kind of precooked, frozen, preserved shit am I about to put in my body, that I could have just as easily prepared at home for a fraction of the cost?” If food takes a longer period of time to arrive in front of me, I am more excited to eat it because I assume it is made fresh to order and that some skill beyond my own has created this perfection I am about to experience. It makes my dining experience worthwhile to know that I am about to try something I can’t yet make myself and that my money is being spent on something other than frozen vegetables. Next time your food seems late don’t be upset, just be happy you are getting what you paid for. Unless you pissed off your server earlier because it may be taking extra time for them to spit in… 23 | Movin’ On Up | www.noswagent.com | System Malfunction First off I would like to warn you and that this IS UNCENSORED AND UNEDITED. Secondly, I would love to start by saying Fuck The System… and no not the ‘system of a down’ song. I am sick and tired of everyone I know following our western system blindly. There are many options other than being obedient in our society. To work an hours’ time for an hours wage is a way to become broke quickly. Time and money are not equal because you can always attain more money but you can never recover or gain more time. It is a losing game. We are told by our parents and our teachers that we should go to school, get good grades, go to post-secondary school, get good grades, go to graduate school, get a job with a high starting salary, work your way up the corporate ladder, retire at age 65, and have a heart attack at 66. That’s a good way to live right? I THINK NOT! The average heart attack happens within the first year of retirement and that is following a lifetime of being a slave. Working for economic growth is rare, most simply work to survive with the bare necessities of life which is what being a slave is to me. Fuck this system because there are many alternatives which we are not shown or taught to appreciate. There are multilevel marketing companies which have fantastic compensation plans and some even pay royalties… that’s right, get paid repeatedly for working one time. There are companies of that type in various industries such as telecommunications, protein shakes, health and beauty products, insurance, and much more. Even better than the money involved is the eye opening personal growth you go through with those companies. Another option is entrepreneurship. It is easy to start your own company these days and some require a massive overhead cost to start and others don’t require a cent. To have a recession proof, illness proof, injury proof, age proof pipeline of income that keeps flowing even while you sleep may be the only way out of the system th
