Adjustments Five steps to adjusting your pack:
1) With the pack on, lean forward, buckle the hip belt and adjust the straps so they sit securely over your hips.
2) Stand up straight and pull the shoulder straps snug.
3) Pull the load lifters down to bring pack in toward the top of your back.
4) Snug hip stabilizers.
5) Your pack will shift during the climb; micro adjustments to these four areas are ongoing throughout the trip.
