Editor ’ s note : Moultrie Observer reporter Adelia Ladson is a member of the Moultrie Federated Guild and was recently selected as the Guild ’ s corresponding secretary .
Over the past years that I ’ ve lived and worked in Moultrie , I have come in contact with many civic organizations . These organizations are the entities that step in and pick up the slack in the community when things need to get done . I know . I ’ ve seen them in action .
There is not a charity organization in this county that is not supported in part by the works of civic groups ’ members . I wish that I could name every single group here , but I fear that I may leave one out .
Take a minute to think about the groups you know that are giving of their time and energy to help improve this community and the next time you see one in action , take a minute to stop and thank the members .
Guild members Lynda Mosely , Bobbie Key , Jill Peacock , Debbie Craft , Donna Brinson , Donna Blalock , Carol Ann Horne and Gwen Croft work in the garden at the Sunbelt Expo as part of a Community Improvement Project . Vegetables grown in the garden are delivered to the Food Bank .
