celebrates 65 years Fourth generation rising in the ranks of Moultrie dealership

Astaple of agriculture , the tractor has been a cornerstone of hauling heavy loads and tending to large fields for years . And one dealership in
Moultrie has been providing them and more for more than 60 years and over four generations of family .
In 1957 , Roscoe DeMott opened up the De- Mott Tractor Company , a small tractor dealership that initially sold Massey Ferguson tractors to the Colquitt County community .
65 years later , the family-owned dealership still provides sales and services of farming equipment to Moultrie , helmed by Roscoe ’ s grandchildren .
Scott DeMott Sr ., president of the DeMott Tractor Company , said that his father , George “ Bo ” DeMott , worked for his grandfather for years alongside his uncle , Jimmie DeMott .
Moving to their current location in the early 1960s , Scott DeMott said that the company had reached the current 13-acre property size by slowly expanding over the years .
The DeMott Tractor Company provides parts and services to the Colquitt County community , diversifying their line-up to meet the unique needs of local agriculture . Located at 1659
Sylvester Highway in Moultrie , the dealership has been in business since 1957 .
