Vendors provide a variety of food , from hot dogs to kettle corn and more .

A big part of Spring Fling has been the Backyard BBQ Festival . Contestants start cooking at 6:30 p . m . Friday with judging on Saturday and awards to be presented at the end of the event .
If you can ’ t go to the beach , Spring Fling will bring the beach to you !
And what ’ s Spring Fling without the Backyard BBQ festival ? Competitors will begin their cooking at 6:30 p . m . Friday . This year ’ s categories are : pork ribs ; chicken : wings , legs or thighs , Boston butt , beef brisket , sauce and brunswick stew . Members of the Magnolia Civilian Club will be the featured judges this year .
Prizes are available for the top three places in each category . All meat categories include both a trophy and cash prize while the sauce and stew categories will award trophies . The grand champion of the competition will receive an additional $ 400 cash prize for their victory .
The awards ceremony will finish off the day as everything winds down to a close at 4 p . m .
