Rane Kusek stands with her Youth Month Art Exhibit submission, a piece shaped by her interest in storytelling through art. Her painting captures an emotional moment that reflects the intensity she brings to her work.
Player described his artistic process as,“ I just like to keep trying, and when it’ s not working out for me, I just keep pushing and pushing until I get the idea. I like varying different [ ideas ]. I have a bunch of different stories and characters because I like having different themes to focus on and explore.”
Meanwhile, Kusek explained her creative process almost entirely differently, stating that her ideas tend to be influenced by numerous things, including music, dreams, and various media influences.
“ It’ s a lot of things like music, dreams I have, other media influences. My characters in my stories give me new ideas and I just run with whatever,” she said.“ Usually, ideas come from literally out of nowhere. I’ ll think it up and sometimes I’ ll do a little thumbnail sketch— like a mini version— or color a little colored sketch and then I just wing it on a canvas.”
