We’ re getting to that time of year again. The weather is already getting warmer, the days are getting longer and the magnolias are blooming on the big ole magnolia tree on the courthouse square. It also means Colquitt County residents can start looking forward to the Spring Fling and Backyard BBQ Festival.

Main Street Manager Caroline Barber said,“ We are so looking forward to the Spring Fling this year. It’ s always so much fun.”
One of Moultrie’ s most-loved traditions, now in its 22nd year, the festival will be the weekend of April 17-18. This two-day event is expected to draw 15,000 or more people to the downtown area for food, handcrafted items and music.
“ We look forward to seeing the same vendors that make the event memorable every year and adding some new ones that you’ ve never seen before,” Barber said.
Every year, colorful stilt walkers entertain people, around the square, during Spring Fling. Photo submitted
