June 16 Chamber of Commerce 26th Annual Golf Tournament Sunset Country Club 8 a . m . - 6 p . m . The Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce ’ s 26th Annual Golf Tournament will be a two-flight tournament with lunch for all players . Team prizes will be awarded for the top two teams for gross and net scores . To secure a team for the tournament , contact the chamber at ( 229 ) 985-2131 . June 16 Juneteenth Black Tie Gala The Arts Center of Moultrie ballroom , 401 Seventh Ave . S . W . 6-11:30 p . m . A black-tie gala to celebrate Juneteenth will be held at the Arts Center of Moultrie . Dr . Fonda Thompson will be the special guest speaker , and entertainment will be by BET Christian comedian Sylvia Holloway , aka “ Small Fire .” Dinner is included . For tickets , call ( 229 ) 429-5263 .
June 17 Juneteenth Colquitt County Courthouse Square 10 a . m . -6 p . m . Food , fun , and fellowship will highlight this celebration of the end of slavery . There will be vendors , bounce houses and waterslides . Various speakers will present throughout the day , and a concert will begin at 7 p . m . The event is free to the public .
