The American Sign Language Club chose to workinSunset ’ scourtyard as their community service project . Home Depot graciously donated plants and supplies for this project . The members of the ASL club worked hard to make the courtyard an even more beautiful location for staff , students , andvisitors .
TheTumblingClubcreated notesofencouragement for various teachers and staff members around the school . Once the notes were created , students delivered themtoeachperson .
5th grade students explored and analyzed rocks that they were learning about in their shared reading text . This activity helped students make connections and deepen their understanding of what they were reading .
Students in3rd grade completed aresearch project that focusedon the past andpresent times of Moultrie , Georgia . One part of their research included interviewing apast principalof Sunset Elementary , Mr . Jimmy Taylor . They enjoyed learning about earlier days of Sunset .
