She has worked as an art instructor for many workshops , classes and camps and has exhibited work nationally and internationally .

Author Katherine Russell sat down with Moore for an interview in late February .
If you would , Amber , please tell us a bit about yourself and your journey as an artist .
I have always had an interest in art , even when I was a little kid . I started going to the summer art camps at the Colquitt County Arts Center when I was in second grade . That was great for my parents ! I kept attending until I aged out of the camps after fifth grade .
Then I began volunteering as an instructor ’ s assistant with the camps , helping the younger kids .
That was a way to stay involved with art , and with the Arts Center . I volunteered until I reached the 11th grade , and that ’ s when I was eligible to start receiving a little paycheck . Later I became an instructor for the summer programs .
Amber Moore , who graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University in December , became curator and visual arts director for the Colquitt County Arts Center in January .
