June 11 Photography 101 Colquitt County Arts Center 10 a . m . -3 p . m . ( lunch is included )
In this workshop you will be introduced to the basic skills of shooting with correct manual operation of a digital SLR camera ( DLSR ). You will learn your camera and learn how to set your own settings , such as aperture , shutter speed , and ISO . Exposure techniques and creative approaches will be discussed and worked with as well . In this workshop , students will go out and use their camera around the Art Center working only in Manual Operation , while learning their camera and lens .
This workshop is for ages 12 and up . Cost is $ 75 per participant , and everyone will need their own DSLR camera with a standard fixed or zoomed lens and their own memory card or SD card .
June 13 Didgeridoo Down Under Moultrie-Colquitt County Library 10:30-11:30 a . m . Doerun Municipal Library 2:30-3:30 p . m .
The didgeridoo has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years and is known for its otherworldly sound . DDU combines music with Australian culture , puppetry , storytelling , and more . This event is free . For more information , contact Erin Honeycutt at 229-985-6540 .
