“ In 2016, after 25 years in the workforce and with the unwavering support of my husband, my life partner and project teammate, I made the decision to retire and launch my own company: Delmar Decoraciones y Más, Inc. We started with an online store selling linens and event decor items, and we also offered balloon decorating workshops.
“ Everything was going well until 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to put a hold on our operations, just like with so many other small businesses at that time.
During that challenging time, our son Emmanuel, who had been living in Moultrie since 2015 became seriously ill with the virus. The pain of being far away when he needed us most led us to a deep realization that we needed to find a way to spend more time with him and his children and not just on the occasional weekend.
“ Emmanuel is a dedicated and entrepreneurial individual with several businesses in Moultrie. Inspired by the desire to be closer to him, support his ventures, and spend time with our grandchildren, we decided to make Moultrie our second home.
