Master Sergeant ( Retired ) Bobby Dorsey spoke to students about his time in the service and memories of his days attending school at Norman Park . He explained what service to your country means , and how this commitment can also be applied to the daily lives of all Norman Park students .
Mrs . Denise Pope , Norman Park ’ s Social Worker , honored her father John B . Van Dyke , who served in WWII from 1941-1945 in the South Pacific . Mr . Van Dyke currently lives in West Virginia .
