Colquitt County has more than 45,898 residents, 265 employees and a general fund budget of $ 26 million for fiscal year 2025. The 2024 net millage rate for unincorporated areas is 9.974, for incorporated areas 12.383 and in the special service district 1.212.

Board of Commissioners
Six commissioners are elected from their respective districts for four-year terms. The chairman is elected county- wide for a four-year term. Commission Districts 1, 3, 5 and 7( Chairman) are staggered with the terms of Commission Districts 2, 4 and 6.
