Needmore Speedway is celebrating its 15th year as a weekend destination for fans of dirt track motorsports.
The 2025 schedule includes the season opener March 27-29 with the 2nd Annual Southern Heritage Classic( features 250 + race cars and over $ 140,000 up for grabs), the Gene Maine Memorial on May 17, Monster Trucks July 25-26, the Morgan Sheffield Memorial on August 23, World of Outlaw Late Models September 12, and the Early Bird 50 on November 20-21. Pricing to watch the race varies. Tickets can be purchased for those 12 and over on their website or at the event site. Kids 12 and under can attend for free.
Offers: No-hookup camping; concessions stand with BBQ sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken strips, French fries; free parking; and special P. A. announcements for birthdays, wedding, anniversaries or other special occasions.

Swimmers race in a swim meet at Southwest Memorial Pool. The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority hosts a variety of competitions throughout the year that bring competitors from throughout the region.
Parks
7.23-mile Tom White Linear Park; 200-linear-feet Born Learning Interactive Trail; The Bark Park, Moultrie’ s only dog park; William Bryant Park, which hosts both private and community events and contains a new covered playground, pavilion with tables and restrooms, mini-pitch, and benches as well as outdoor basketball courts; Main Street Park with covered playground and pavilion rentals, a new poured-inplace swing bay which includes adaptive and inclusive swings as well as traditional swings, and walking trails; W. O. W Park, with a playground area and two outdoor basketball half-courts; Wesley Ball Park, with picnic tables; and Bert Harsh Park, located adjacent to the public library and contains the first historic grove planted in a USA-certified tree city, as well as host seating and Wi-Fi.
Places
Ryce Community Center is a rental space for public and private events. Shaw Gym, Tommy Meredith Gym, and Lynda Baxter Moseley Tennis Complex are open year-round for public play and private events. Lessons and tournaments are also available. Sports complexes include Magnolia Sports Complex, Jim Buck Goff Complex, and Knuck-McCrary Complex.
Swimming / Diving
Two public swimming pools, one interactive play pool, one splash pad, one Olympic-sized heated dive well, and one USA Diving-sanctioned indoor( dry land) training facility. MCCPRA now offers free swim lessons to children in the community, ensuring water safety and skill development for all. New this year at the Southwest Memorial pool is the WIBIT-an inflatable obstacle course for confident young swimmers to enjoy.
Youth
Flag football for ages 5-6, tackle football for ages 7-12, cheerleading for ages 5-12, basketball for ages 7-12, t-ball for ages 3-6, and baseball / softball for ages 7-14. MCCPRA recently started hosting volleyball clinics and leagues. Exciting new party options include Nerf, basketball, pickleball, volleyball and soccer parties, providing an interactive and fun experience for kids’ celebrations.
