A native of Macon , GA , Dr . Collins received his undergraduate degree from Mercer University and then graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine . Dr . Collins completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport , LA . He then completed a sports medicine fellowship through the Hughston Foundation in Columbus , GA .
Dr . Collins is BoardCerti�ed in Orthopedic Surgeryand is BoardCerti�ed in Sports Medicine . He is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine .
He began his practiceinValdosta , GA in 2007 and has been serving south Georgia and North Florida . He is the head team physician for Valdosta State University and orthopedic consultant for Thomas University . He also provides sports medicine services and consultation for numerous schools including Colquitt County High School and Lowndes County High School .
Dr . Collins specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery . He provides care for all musculoskeletal pain but specializes in shoulder and knee injuries .
