American Association of Retired Persons ( AARP )
Purpose : To inform seniors on advocacy , health , tax and foundation issues . Also , Moultrie AARP advocates focus on Social Security , Medicare and healthcare at special called meetings .
AARP Moultrie Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Ferguson Board Room at Colquitt Regional Medical Center . Additionally , meetings will be held with federal and state legislatures concerning senior issues / concerns .

American Legion Moultrie Post 324 The American Legion Family is composed of the American Legion ( TAL ), the American Legion Auxiliary ( ALA ) and the Sons of the American Legion ( SAL ).
The TAL is open to male and female veterans who have served in any branch of the military for at least one day of honorable service from Dec . 7,1941 to the present .
The ALA is open to any spouse , grandmother , mother , sister or female descendent of a member of the American Legion . Female veterans are eligible to join both the TAL and the ALA .
The SAL is limited to males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U . S . military and were eligible for membership in the TAL . The Post is also represented at Moultrie ’ s Second Saturday events , 10 a . m . to 2 p . m . near the Confederate monument on the Courthouse Square .

Eligibility : Those people of like purpose are welcome to join .
Dues : Dues at $ 20 per calendar year .
