PLANTATIONS :
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority has made a number of renovations and upgrades over the last few years . Shown is a new shelter being erected at Main Street Park in the summer of 2022 . Among other facilities that have been improved are the Southwest Pool Complex , the Northwest Pool , Shaw Gym and the Tom White Linear Park .
Places : Ryce Community Center is a rental space for private events . Shaw Gym is open five days a week for public play . Tommy Meredith Gym and Lynda Baxter Moseley Tennis Complex are open year-round at no cost for public play and offering lessons and tournaments . Sports complexes include Magnolia , Jim Buck Goff , and Knuck-McCrary .
Swimming : Two public swimming pools , one interactive play pool , one Olympic-sized heated dive well and one USA Diving-sanctioned indoor ( dry land ) training facility .
Youth : Flag football for ages 5-6 , tackle football ages 7-12 , cheerleading ages 5-12 , basketball ages 7-12 . Adults : Softball leagues are offered each spring as well as various tournaments throughout the year . Seniors : Enrichment programs are available on weekday mornings during the school year . Other senior activities sponsored by the Authority include participation in the Georgia Golden Olympics .
Offers : Two gymnasiums ; six lighted tennis courts ; four lighted pickle ball courts ; 11 outdoor basketball courts ; four lighted multipurpose adult softball fields ; three lighted youth softball fields , one unlighted youth softball field and five lighted youth baseball fields ; three playgrounds .

Hunting Packages : all-inclusive full day and half day quail hunting from October-March , continental pheasant hunting with 200-240 birds per person per day in winter and fall .
Shooting : wobble trap , rifle range , and skeet shooting . Those new to hunting and shooting are welcome as Ashburn also provides gun rentals and bullet purchases .
Weddings : The plantation can be rented for a weekend at $ 6,750 for full use of the main lodge , the train depot which is the main building , the bunkroom , and grounds from Friday at noon to Sunday at noon . 300 white folding chairs and either round or rectangle table are provided .
Amenities : horseback riding , disc golf , outdoor fire pit , multiple indoor fireplaces , ping pong and billiards tables .
Other : Rockin Robyn events throughout the year , corporate retreats , church gatherings , overnight stays , and other private events .
