The chamber serves as the primary source of information and public relations for Moultrie and Colquitt County . They build relationships with new and established businesses to promote a strong business community countywide . Also , the chamber serves its members with informational resources along with personal and professional development opportunities . The chamber is the voice of the business community on local , state , and national levels .

partnerships and job creation . The Authority is funded through a millage rate allotment of 0.289 mills , averaging approximately $ 305,000 annually . The Authority works with existing industries to support their presence and growth in the community as well as attract new industries .
A non-taxable entity , the Authority can lend and borrow money , advocate with state leadership for project and funding investment in Colquitt County , and access both state and federal grant monies for economic development . Along with industrial development , the Authority supports the attraction of retail and commercial businesses into the community by providing demographic data and statics which enable their decision making .
The county and city can levy taxes on the Authority ’ s behalf and help fund projects through allocations of special purpose local option sales taxes .
