Colquitt County Superior Court
The Colquitt County Superior Court is part of the state ’ s Southern Judicial Circuit , which also includes Brooks , Echols , Lowndes and Thomas counties . The Superior Court has authority to exercise original , exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction , as the case may be , in civil and criminal cases as granted by the Constitution and laws , and it exercises appellate jurisdiction over lower courts .
Court is held quarterly with two weeks of civil cases and two weeks of criminal trials . Extra court weeks are held when cases are left over from the regular sessions .
