MGB GT V8 T he MGB GT V8 was kindly brought all old chap, who had done some serious research into motor insurance and was the cheapest V8 he could insure. It also happens to be a graceful chrome bumpered classic with a wonderful V8 soundtrack. I wish I had his nous at that age. my thoughts that they had only an engine in common. The cabin felt perched on the steel monocoque chassis and little wheels. The detailing is lovely, supple leather, a cosy cabin featuring wind-up windows and a walnut dashboard with old school ergonomics. The V8 badge on the wire mesh grill tells car takes it away from grand tourer and much talkie we rumbled up the hill, the body leaning supple without succumbing to wallowing. chassis being much stiffer than the popular Roadster, and with a little work on the old performance belying its years.
