HALL 4 | 4D15
The Auto Cycle Union ( ACU ) is the governing body for motorcycle sport in the UK . It manages all forms of competition and supports every rider – male or female , junior or senior , amateur or professional – throughout their journey .
With 120 years of expertise , the ACU sets the standard in the UK . Its affiliated clubs host around 2,000 events annually , with more than 23,000 licence holders competing in motocross , trial , enduro , speedway , road racing , and track racing .
Riders choose the ACU for its experienced team and focus on safety , with no compromises . Most events offer comprehensive insurance , and personal accident cover is available , ensuring help is always there if needed .
Beyond insurance , the ACU invests in its volunteers , providing unmatched training and risk management guidance . It also takes a leading role in land access issues and government lobbying to protect the future of motorcycle sport .
On the global stage , the ACU ensures Britain ’ s competitiveness . As a founding member of the FIM , the ACU is the only UK federation qualified to guide riders from grassroots to the world stage .
The ACU is forward-thinking , being the only UK body to appoint a women ’ s ambassador . This role builds on the success of riders like European Motocross Champion Lucy Barker and ten-time Trial World Champion Emma Bristow , both of whom progressed through the ACU ranks .
