The season-long battle featured nine different race winners from eight different teams and five manufacturers , with a further seven riders celebrating podium success before the crucial final three rounds . The season began with a double victory for Ryan Vickers , who dominated the first visit to Circuito de Navarra , before Glenn Irwin fought back with a terrific treble at Oulton Park .
Kyle Ryde secured his first victory of the season at his home round at Donington Park , sharing the wins with Glenn Irwin and Jason O ' Halloran . Defending champion Tommy Bridewell claimed his first race win with Honda Racing UK at Knockhill , while Rory Skinner celebrated a debut race win in front of his home crowd . Christian Iddon added to the list of Scottish winners , making it three different victors at Knockhill .
Storm Stacey joined the Bennetts BSB winners ' list for the first time at Snetterton , before Glenn Irwin claimed a double to return to the top of the standings by the season ' s halfway point . At the summer round at Brands Hatch , OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing enjoyed a triumphant weekend , with Vickers claiming a stunning treble . Despite Irwin crashing heavily in race two , Bridewell surged to the top of the standings with two second-place finishes .
The team carried momentum into a high-speed thriller at Thruxton , where Ryde won the opening race , and Vickers took a double , moving Ryde into second and closing in on Bridewell , who missed out on the podium .
The Bank Holiday highlight at Cadwell Park began with a victory for Ryde , before Bridewell returned to winning form in race two . However , OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing ’ s Ryde took the final win of the weekend , leaving just 19 points between him and Bridewell at the top of the standings ahead of the Showdown .
