Custom Heros will have some of the very finest custom motorcycles on display along with select craftsmen who ply their trade in the world of customised motorcycles . Custom Heroes encompasses not only the folk who build their own , stunning custom bikes , but also those who help with the process , facilitating specific techniques and talents that so many will never , ever be able to even contemplate undertaking . Taking to the stand this year will be the winners of this year ’ s Back Street Heroes Custom Bike Championship , plus a varied selection of some of this year ’ s very best custom bikes along with the development of the fantastic demonstration area . Demonstrators this year include founder , owner , and chief designer of Raw Steel Choppers , Stuart “ String ” Thompson who will be bringing a Sportster trike he ’ s currently building to showcase the tricks of his trade . Dave “ Flakey ” Addis , award winning airbrush art / custom painter and owner of Flakey ’ s Custom Paint Studio , will be attending the stand on both weekends bringing a sheet of metal to paint a photo realistic portrait of Indian Larry . In attendance with Flakey is Doony , owner of Freespirit Studio and pin stripe artist . Doony will be bringing two petrol tanks and creating pin stripe / sign writing in tattoo style brush work on the tanks .
