Community In Action
A
ack outside in the holding field that has the
band stage, a large marquee for riders to sit
under and a brew tent under constant attack
there is a spattering of businesses. It is all very
relaxed and no one was being sold anything,
more a case of vendors and riders just mingled
and chatted about bikes, bear, where they had
been and where they wanted to go in the
future.
fter a walk around the Scott Leathers,
Adventure Spec banners, James Cargo
Transport and Motofrieght I did what I like to do
and that’s drink coffee and chat to other bikers
about what’s going on in the community. We
are a diverse lot and sat unassuming supping
tea from plastic sups was a wealth of travel
knowledge, clad in oilskins and adventure suits
all there just for the asking. I love to listen to
the stories and this is what this sort of event is
all about, riding bikes, talking about bikes and
relaxing in a wonderful atmosphere of like
minded people.
