Assembly Is it going to be a pain in the arse to set up? The preconception that I tend to have about tents is the bigger they are the more complicated it becomes to get them up. Blue pole here and yellow pole there while bracket F connects with... while stood in drizzling rain in Wales is about as fun as skinny dipping in sulphuric acid. The Solo – Redverz has thought about this! It’s a solo tent so ONE person needs to be able to get this tent up and running with needing a degree from Oxford! Just two poles and what was a joy is that they are interchangeable – you can’t pick the wrong pole! Also the guides are part sleeve and part clip to make it quicker and easier to thread. I do get rather fed up of feeding fabric over poles and just as annoying when tring to pull them out on a Sunday morning after a rally and you’re stood there yanking about 2 mile of elastic cord and one section of pole! This was very simple to thread and you can’t get the poles wrong. There are instructions stitched into the bag, so you can’t lose them but to be honest after you have done it once you won’t need the instructions. You just thread the poles, pin the two pegs and pull the tent out, peg the other end and then go around setting the guys and pegs to get a nice taught finish. Very simple indeed and I had no issues doing this on my own.
