It’s not a huge road and is shy of 35km, that works out to about 22 miles but is pure riding heaven and just getting there will taking through the road of the Gods anyway. You will be treated to 52 bends that are sweeping rather than the harsher switchbacks of say Stelvio. So your pace is more relaxed as you get into the ‘flow’ of the road and of course there are plenty of places to test the edges of your tyres so why do that all the way, enjoy the sweeping runs of the unique views that are on offer as the Nockbergs are rounded and green. Offering the largest concentration of Spruce and Stone Pine your nostrils will be alive with pleasure. Its like riding through a postcard full of potpourri. The Nockalm Road is also a toll road and we will go into options on getting cards for the ride as it does run in a National Park. The road is literally littered with things to see, do and eat and is not just a great ride with blistering views but a venerable playground for you to enjoy. The Nockalm Road in Carinthia runs between the two ticket offices - to the south several kilometres outside of the community of Ebene Reichenau, to the north right on the fringe of Innerkrems. There are several pretty places to pull over for a traditional meal in rustic houses and huts.
