The GORE TEX membrane is not a coating or a treatment. It is not an outer material or an inner
lining, but rather the 'inner workings' of the boots and it is incorporated in between the inner
and the outer lining. It is extremely thin and is manufactured using a complex expansion process.
This extraordinary material is not only wind and water proof but is also breathable.
A bit creaky when you walk but an excellent boot. Great feeling of security in them, I have found
them waterproof so far and feel they will keep the cold out with the right socks.
