The following morning the Dambusters riders went off in a whole variety of directions. Craig and
Barbara set off for three weeks riding in Morocco, John set off for the final round of the British
Superbikes at Assen, whilst the rest of us rode back to various ferries and the ‘Chunnel’ to make our
way back to ‘Good ‘ol Blighty’!
The whole Dambusters2014 trip had covered just 4 days which is hardly on the same level as some
of the wonderful travels we see in magazines and on the internet. However, it was great fun; we
made great friends to ride with, raised some cash for two excellent charities, paid our respects to
the sacrifice of 70 years ago and got to ride our bikes for four days on the run! And what’s more the
planning for the 2015 ‘Get Together’ in already underway. Not three bad then!
