T he traveller puts so much time, effort and research into going away, every aspect, visa’s, inoculations, currency, carnet’s, budget and border regulations are diligently researched and rigorously prepared for. But no thought is given to the return, it’s no wonder so many people jump every hurdle on the road and fall at the finish line. The misconception and blasé attitude to homecoming results in stumbling resentfully into the rut that was so hard to leave. I’ve learnt now that nothing changed while I was away and nothing will now I’m back, unless I put as much effort into it as I did into leaving in the first place.
