cross, lucky it’s a gentle one and causes no real
issue just a bit of side to side rocking of our ferry.
We roll into town, grab a quick ice cream and we're
on a boat, for a leisurely cruise by the putt putt
motor to the Phong Na caves. Wow! What a sight. No
wonder this is world heritage listed. The motor is
turned off and we have about a 10mins row in and
through the cave, we're told the water is up to
30mtrs deep and the roof is between 10 and 30mtrs
above us. What lovely formations there are and
they're huge.
Today was a 12hr day, with 280 km mixture of
highway, twisty road, slippery dirt, wooden bridge a
row boat ferry and a 2km boat ride through Phong
Na world heritage limestone caves. Totally
awesome. So far 960km we’ve completed.
