I’ve been a guest of the NHS more times than I would care to recall. On occasions they have been
by the invitation of a car driver showing less due care and attention than I would like and other
times the invite was from my own ego (off road … well, it’s rude not to have a go isn’t it). In the
words of Casey Stoner – ambition over ability has been my down fall at times.
So I was pleased to look at this airbag vest. The biggest thing for me when putting the vest on for
the first time was that I could wear this over all my other jackets with ease. I have several jackets
that vary in padding for summer and winter riding. The low cut arm pits made it easy to put on
and almost forget that I had it on. The weight is around 1kg but this is spread out all over the
torso and something that I did not register at all. So no discomfort and no aching fatigue from
the weight this is very important for exploring riders seeing as we do tend to ride a fair old
distance on our machines.
