Things to look for in a glove
Water resistance or water proof
Obviously waterproof is going to be better. But I’ve found that depending on
the amount of water you’re going to get wet hands in the end. You see all
gloves have a great big hole in them – that’s where your hand goes. So the
better the proofing the longer your hands will stay dry ... dry is warmer than
wet as we know.
Wrist strap
Making for a more comfortable fit. Adjustable
straps are best you can tighten to secure your
gloves on your hand once they’re on.
Remember the protection bit? Gloves are of
little use if they come off when you do!
Gauntlet.
This should extend around 2” above your
wrist so skin is covered at all times and aid
in getting a good fit on the jacket cuff.
Anything exposed is going to be feeling that
icy blast and wind going up the sleeve just
sucks!
