2 The Vidraru Dam
A whopping 166.60 m high, and 305m long. Its
base thickness is 25m, the top is 6m thick. It works
for hydroelectricity but better than that is the fact
that it has a viewing platform that is not for the
faint of heart or perhaps ensure you look before
you have anything heavy to eat! This platform can
be used as a bungee jump but I think I’d give it a
miss.
The electricity monument is a huge Prometheus
and it’s placed on top of a tower. The road can be
accessed through the tunnel near the dam. You
can, if the mood takes you, hang up your helmet
and hire a paddle boat or take a leisure boat across
the lake and soak up the views.
