Moto3™ is wide open as it enters 2026. A class that often provides the tightest racing of the weekend, there will likely be little to choose between the leading names.
Those tipped for glory in 2026 already showed great promise in 2025. With last year’ s champion Jose Antonio Rueda and runner up Angel Piqueras moving up to Moto2™, a host of riders will be vying for supremacy this year.
Last year’ s standout rookie Maximo Quiles( CFMoto Aspar Team) goes into the year as the preseason favourite. His second place in Thailand did little to change that. Alvaro Carpe( Red Bull KTM Ajo) will also be a major player in his second season in the class. David Almansa( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP), who won the first race of the season, could also be a surprise name at the front this year.
Challenges are also likely to come from young Argentine Valentin Perrone( Red Bull KTM Tech3), while all eyes will be on Joel Kelso( Gryd – Mlav Racing) as he switches from KTM machinery to Honda. Watch out as well for Brian Uriarte( Red Bull KTM Ajo), another rapid Spaniard destined for the top.
STANDOUT ROOKIE MAXIMO QUILES GOES INTO 2026 AS THE PRESEASON FAVOURITE IN A WIDE OPEN MOTO3™ FIELD.
