Diogo Moreira progressed rapidly through the junior ranks after success in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. A full time Moto3™ debut followed, where immediate front running pace delivered regular top six finishes and Rookie of the Year honours in 2022. Staying on for a second season brought further growth, capped by a maiden Grand Prix victory and confirmation of his potential at world level.

A move to Moto2™ in 2024 marked another step forward. Adapting quickly with Italtrans, Moreira delivered a strong rookie campaign and secured his first podium at the season finale, again earning Rookie of the Year recognition. Momentum surged in 2025. Consistent victories and a remarkable late season charge saw Moreira overturn a significant points deficit to claim the Moto2™ World Championship in dramatic fashion. Graduation to MotoGP™ follows for 2026 with LCR Honda. Moreira arrives carrying confidence, momentum and the clear target of establishing himself as a leading rookie in the premier class.
