AMAHA TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
|
Continuity is key and that ’ s something Yamaha have with their factory line-up for 2025 as both 2021 World Champion Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins remain with the Iwata manufacturer . Despite a year without a podium in 2024 , there were clear signs of steps being made forwards as Quartararo especially started knocking on the door of the top six . Talk still swirls of a switch from the inline-four engine to a V4 but for their inline four , they had a new engine , chassis and aero spec in the Barcelona test and Quartararo and Rins were quite positive about it . Yamaha ’ s history in the sport is a |
glorious one , with 245 wins and over 500 races on the podium , and the project is digging in to get back to the top . Lin Jarvis has retired and vacated his long-time role at the top , replaced by Paolo Pavesio , and after two seasons without an independent team , Yamaha also grow in presence with Prima Pramac Racing joining the Japanese brand ’ s setup for the forthcoming year . Two more bikes means twice as much data , and it will be data from the experienced Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira . Beyond that , Augusto Fernandez also joins as test rider , so the stage is set to continue their charge upwards . |
