The first Grand Prix winner from Thailand becomes the first MotoGP rider from Thailand in 2025 . From the Asia Talent Cup up the Road to MotoGP – via a top ten at his home GP in a single Moto3 wildcard – Somkiat Chantra then made some sizeable impressions in Moto2 , winning two races and taking a slew of podiums . Now , he ’ s making more history as he joins the premier class . But he ’ s not just here for that , he ’ s also here to go fast . Alongside former teammate Ai Ogura and Fermin Aldeguer , there ’ s Rookie of the Year up for grabs and a whole lot more in MotoGP this year .
