Now is certainly the moment for his pursuers to attack . Johann Zarco of Pramac Ducati and Francesco Baganaia of Lenovo Ducati know that this weekend holds excellent promise for their Ducati machines , which never lack top speed . Zarco has been brilliantly consistent all year , racking up four second places to sit second overall . Bagnaia has managed three podiums this year , and will surely fancy his chances of a first MotoGP™ win this weekend .
In some ways Joan Mir was the star of the Styrian Grand Prix last year . The reigning world champion sits fourth overall , 55 points back of the lead after three podiums . He scored a debut MotoGP™ podium here in last year ’ s Austrian GP and was comfortably leading the Styrian encounter before a red flag forced a restart , in which he finished fourth . He ’ ll still be a contender this weekend at one of his favourite tracks .
Jack Miller is another name that could add to the two victories he scored at Jerez and Le Mans . The Australian was third and second in last year ’ s encounters here and his Ducati should be well suited to Austria ’ s long , high-speed straights .
