Hijo mayor del antiguo Campeón del Mundo de 500cc Wayne Gardner , Remy se unió al CIP Team con una moto Mahindra en 2015 . Fue un año con altibajos , y el por entonces adolescente , que crecía rápidamente , se trasladó a la maquinaria más grande de Moto2™ en 2016 . En 2017 ya pilotaba el anticuado chasis Mistral 610 de Tech3 y , justo cuando se convirtió en un habitual del Top 10 en 2018 , cambió a la Kalex del OneXOX SAG al año siguiente , cuando consiguió su primer podio . En 2020 dio un gran paso adelante y consiguió una valiosa primera victoria en Portugal antes de cambiar al equipo de Aki Ajo para 2021 . Allí , Remy terminó todas las carreras excepto una y ganó el título por cuatro puntos gracias a cinco victorias . ¿ Su premio ? Un asiento en el equipo Tech3 de MotoGP™ a lomos de una KTM RC16 de fábrica completa . Se espera que este curso luche por la corona de Rookie del Año .

The eldest son of former 500cc World Champion Wayne Gardner , Remy joined the CIP Team with a Mahindra bike in 2015 . It was a mixed year , and the rapidly growing teenager moved to bigger Moto2™ machinery in 2016 . By 2017 he was riding Tech 3 ’ s outdated Mistral 610 chassis and just as he became a regular top ten finisher in 2018 he switched to to OneXOX SAG Kalex the following year , when he scored a debut podium . 2020 saw him take a huge step forward , and collect a priceless debut win in Portugal before he switched to Aki Ajo ’ s team for 2021 . There , Remy finished every race bar one and won the title by four points thanks to five wins . His prize ? A seat in Tech 3 ’ s MotoGP™ team aboard a full factory KTM RC16 . He ’ ll be expected to fight for the Rookie of the year crown this year .
