Some big question marks hang over Moto3™ in 2026. A class that often provides the tightest racing of the weekend, there will likely be little to choose between the leading names.
Those tipped for glory in 2026 already showed great promise in 2025. With last year’ s champion, Jose Antonio Rueda, and runner-up, Angel Piqueras, moving up to Moto2™, a host of names will be vying for supremacy this year.
Last year’ s standout rookie, Maximo Quiles( CFMoto Aspar Team), entered the year as the pre-season favourite, and classy wins in Brazil, Spain, France, Barcelona, Hungary and Assen did little to dispel that belief. Even though he missed the British GP due to a broken collarbone, Marc Marquez’ s protégé will be hard to beat.
Red Bull KTM Ajo’ s Alvaro Carpe is also proving to be a major player in his second season in the class. So too is rookie team-mate Brian Uriarte, whose wins at Mugello and the Sachsenring propelled him into the fight for the top three.
Challenges are also likely to come from Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP rider David Almansa after recovering from injury issues. All eyes are on Joel Kelso( Gryd – Mlav Racing) after switching from KTM machinery to Honda. And watch out for Valentin Perrone( Red Bull KTM Tech3), who scored two podiums in the opening 12 rounds.

I nomi più quotati sono quelli che l’ anno scorso hanno gettato le basi più concrete. Vista la promozione del campione del mondo in carica José Antonio Rueda e del vice iridato Angel Piqueras in Moto2™, la faccenda è circoscritta a chi è rimasto nella classe cadetta.
Il grande favorito è Maximo Quiles( CFMoto Aspar Team), che nel 2025 da rookie ha fatto faville. Quest’ anno ha iniziato col turbo, vincendo in Brasile, Spagna, Francia, Catalogna, Ungheria e Paesi Bass. Nel GP della Gran Bretagna si è però rotto una clavicola: nonostante tutto, il pupillo di Marc Marquez sembra difficile da battere.
A dargli del filo da torcere c’ è Alvaro Carpe, che coi colori Red Bull KTM Ajo si sta affermando tra i protagonisti. Anche lui, come Quiles, è alla seconda stagione in Moto3. Discorso simile per il suo compagno di squadra, l’ esordiente Brian Uriarte, vittorioso prima al Mugello e poi al Sachsenring, in piena lotta per il podio di fine anno.
Occhio anche a David Almansa del team Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP, tornato in forma dopo un infortunio. Fra gli osservati speciali, inoltre, Joel Kelso( Gryd – Mlav Racing), passato dalla KTM alla Honda, e Valentin Perrone( Red Bull KTM Tech3), che ha conquistato due podi nelle prime dodici gare.
