Despite reigning champion Diogo Moreira stepping up to MotoGP™, the other Moto2™ contenders from 2025 have stayed behind to contest another highly competitive season. Last year saw all kinds of records broken. Eighteen different riders climbed the podium in the intermediate class and eleven won a race. Never has the category seen such variety before.
Of those likely to fight at the front this year, Manuel Gonzalez( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) is the early favourite after winning four of the first twelve races. Also keep an eye on BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 rider Izan Guevara, who scored four podiums in the first six races and has been consistent throughout. CFMoto Aspar Team’ s talented duo of Dani Holgado and David Alonso were the outstanding rookies last term, and both were Moto2™ race winners. Now in their second season in the class, both are in the process of closing the gap to the championship summit.
Having backed up his Austin victory with a triumph at Jerez, Senna Agius( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) has proved he is capable of fighting for a top-three championship finish with a string of consistent results. Ivan Ortola( QJMOTOR – Bordoy – MSI) is another to keep an eye on. The Spaniard’ s victories at Brno and the Sachsenring showed he is only getting faster in his second season in the class.
Tra i piloti che lo scorso anno si sono giocati il titolo della classe intermedia, solo il campione del mondo Diogo Moreira è passato in MotoGP™: gli altri sono rimasti in Moto2™ per un’ altra entusiasmante sfida, sulla scia di un 2025 da record: ben 18 infatti i piloti saliti sul podio, undici quelli che hanno vinto almeno una gara. Non era mai successo prima.
Tra chi punta in alto c’ è Manuel Gonzalez( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP), che ha vinto quattro delle prime dodici gare. In forma anche Izan Guevara( BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2), con quattro podi nelle prime sei gare, tra cui un successo, e tanta costanza. Da non dimenticare poi la coppia del CFMoto Aspar Team, con Dani Holgado e David Alonso ora alla seconda stagione nella classe intermedia e più agguerriti che mai.
Vincitore ad Austin e a Jerez, anche Senna Agius( Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP) vuole dire la sua nella corsa al titolo, così come Ivan Ortola( QJMOTOR – Bordoy – MSI), sul gradino più alto del podio a Brno e al Sachsenring.
